Things to see in Puglia

Unconventional Tours

Puglia can and should be visited all year round. It truly lives in a timeless dimension, caught between the past and the present.

We have been successful at creating a new way of presenting a relatively unknown region; our service is offered by locals… for those who are not. Our Local Advisors offer all types of informations, from what towns to visit, what new adventures to partake in, what exhibits to see, food to taste, and folk traditions to learn about and never forget.

Your adventure in Apulian discovery will no doubt make you love this region immensely.

This section is intended to be a sort of ‘Apulian diary’, written by B.E.

It is a tribute to our land and a useful handbook for those who share our philosophy of hospitality and would like to be informed of all the resources available in this incredible region.

During the fall and winter, which are relatively mild seasons in this region, you are guaranteed a vast choice of earthly products, beautiful and unique landscapes, village festivals, exhibits and ancient traditions; during the spring and summer seasons, Puglia blooms and lives festivals, parties on the beach, and shows.

Lovers of local enogastronomy should know that Ceglie is land to award-winning restaurants, Cisternino’s ‘braceria’ (brasseries) are a ‘must-try’, Torre Guaceto is renowned for its ‘fiaschetto’ tomatoes and Altamura for its DOP bread. Puglia is also known for its culture and magnificent landscapes, for the Swabian castle at Andria (hunting home of Frederick II), for the ‘trulli’ and for Mount Sant’Angelo, one of the oldest Michaelic cult sites and a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Baroque from Lecce, the measured elegance of Otranto (the easternmost city on the Italian peninsula), the ‘cummerse’ of Locorotondo and the overlooking views of the sea at Polignano offer truly unique panoramas.
